Pudding Frosting

Another delicious recipe I found on recipezaar! I am not usually a big fan of traditional frosting, so this is a great alternative. It never hardens like traditional frosting, so I'm not sure how great it would be on cookies, but it's awesome on cake.
I used it on my son's first birthday cake, although you mostly see the coconut and liccorice in this picture.
Try it out, you'll love it!

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant pudding mix, any flavor
1/4 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces Cool Whip

Directions:
1. Pour milk into bowl. Add pudding mix and sugar.
2. Beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes.
3. Gently fold in whipped topping.
4. Spread on completely cooled cake.
5. Refrigerate left-overs, if you have any!

My hints for planning a menu full of variety

Make a list of all your family's favorite recipes, separated into categories such as chicken, beef, meatless
Make a list of all the recipes you want to try, separated into categories.
Plan a menu...1 month is best, 1 week will do. Then you will be able to plan on trying new recipes and have the ingredients on hand
Use your lists when planning the menu, making sure to mix favorites in with new recipes.
Write the menu on the calendar where you have marked all the family's schedules so you can plan accordingly
Don't forget to plan a few days for left-overs or easy meals. Also plan a night to go OUT to your favorite restaurant.
Keep a notepad on the fridge to mark down what you will buy at the grocery store. Throughout the week add to the list as you remember things. Once a week, before you go shopping, look over your menu and the corresponding recipes, adding any needed ingredients you will need to buy at the grocery store.
