Berry Syrup

Oh man, this is so good and so easy.  I have to restrain myself from just eating it straight out of the dish with a spoon. :)  We put it on waffles, german pancakes, or ice cream.  I made it without the butter once and it was still delish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen berries, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar, cornstarch, and water.
2. Bring to a boil. Stirring constantly, cook 1 to 2 minutes, or until thick.
3. Mix in the berries. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until the desired consistency is reached.
4. Stir in the butter.
